Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA): International performance hub branded experiential design, collateral and ad campaign during the World economic forum in Davos
WHO?
The National Center for Performance Measurement "Adaa" is an independent government body, which reports directly to the Prime Minister of KSA. This entity has created a newly built tool called the International Performance Hub (IPH), which delivers data-driven assessments of more than 200 countries around the world and how they "perform" in twelve areas such as education, security and technology. In order to raise the profile of what Saudi leadership is doing to create accountability among its own government leaders by using this data and share its newly built tool with the rest of the world, they reached out to us to launch their platform during the World Economic Forum in Davos, 2018.
WHAT?
After securing a retail store in a prime location on the promenade to use as a location for the launch, I led the creative direction and design of a branded “store front” cleverly named, The Benchmark, near the conference center in Davos, Switzerland so that stakeholders could be invited for a demonstration, obtain more information and sign up for further discussion and collaboration. Working with interior designers, we planned out the entire experience, determining how to best draw people in with window displays, planning where walls and furniture should go to help guide visitors through the space, creating spots for meetings, traditional arabic tea ceremonies and demonstrations of the tool on large screens and on imacs and designing all of the collateral and giveaways to further bring the brand and tool to life.
In order to draw many visitors to the space, we coordinated with our paid media team and designed ads placed at the airport in Zurich, on large billboards for all conference attendees to see, in major publications (such as the Financial Times), and digital placements targeting stakeholders.
SO WHAT?
With an extremely short turn-around time to create as many designed items as we created, the client was tremendously impressed with our dedication to making this event the success that it was. We are now planning a road show to replicated the "in-store" experience in four cities internationally.
